Drains & clogs
Slow drains, standing water and recurring blockages.
Read the drain & clog help guide →Dripping taps, leaking fittings and unexpected water. Start with what you can observe, then ask an independent plumbing business to confirm the assessment, scope and price.
You do not need a technical diagnosis to start the conversation. If you share photos, take them only from a safe position and avoid including unnecessary personal information.
Describe where water is visible, when you first noticed it and whether it is constant or intermittent. Say which fixture or room is involved and whether nearby surfaces are wet. The visible water location does not necessarily identify the source.
A safely taken photo can help explain what you see, but it does not replace an assessment. Flowline does not diagnose leaks from images. Ask the independent plumbing business what inspection is needed.
No. Repair or replacement depends on the cause, condition, available parts and the provider’s assessment. Ask for the proposed scope, the reason for it and any alternatives before approving work.
Ask about assessment, access, parts, labor and any work needed after the plumbing repair. Confirm whether making good walls, cabinets or finishes is included or outside the plumbing business’s scope.
Give the unit type and relevant access or building-management requirements. Say whether anyone else needs to coordinate entry or building systems. Confirm these requirements with your association or property manager; do not assume the provider can access shared systems.
Confirm the business’s legal or trading name, relevant license and any assessment or travel fee. State access restrictions, parking or building-management requirements. Agree on the appointment date and arrival window directly with the provider.
Ask for the scope, price, inclusions and exclusions. Confirm how additional work would be authorized, who handles follow-up, and any written warranty terms. A preferred appointment time, inquiry checklist or initial estimate is not approval to begin work.
